Are you a control freak like me?

I rarely ask for help, and when I do, it can feel incredibly uncomfortable. Even when my kids offer to help with chores, I sometimes find myself cringing.

Why?

Because I like things done a certain way—and if I’m honest, it’s often easier to just do everything myself.

In this fanmail episode, I reflect on the struggle of wanting to control everything and the challenge of learning to let others help.

If you’re a recovering control freak too, I’d love to hear from you.

How do you resist the urge to do it all yourself?

00:00:00.179 --> 00:00:02.345
Hey friends, happy Saturday.

00:00:02.345 --> 00:00:03.787
If you're listening to this.

00:00:03.787 --> 00:00:06.801
When this actually came out, I want to thank.

00:00:06.801 --> 00:00:12.090
The last four digits of this phone number is 9251.

00:00:12.090 --> 00:00:13.714
This is what they said.

00:00:14.080 --> 00:00:16.666
My takeaway from this episode was control.

00:00:16.666 --> 00:00:19.353
I call myself a recovering control freak.

00:00:19.353 --> 00:00:20.903
It's a daily struggle.

00:00:20.903 --> 00:00:27.263
I am glad the Lord revealed my issues so I can be aware and learn to surrender control to Him daily.

00:00:27.263 --> 00:00:29.126
Thank you for your honesty.

00:00:29.126 --> 00:00:32.252
I completely relate to that.

00:00:32.252 --> 00:00:35.222
No joke, I am a control freak as well.

00:00:35.222 --> 00:00:43.185
I would like to say I'm recovering, but I know I still have a lot of work to go through in order to be that close to recovery.

00:00:43.185 --> 00:00:57.542
But anyways, I'm so glad that the episode with Brittany was able to encourage you and reveal that to you, that you have this issue and you need to work on it.

00:00:57.542 --> 00:01:18.933
I will be praying that you get the clarity and have the determination needed to surrender that control to God daily, because when we can surrender control of situations, especially difficult ones, I feel like we do a lot better in life, knowing that our Heavenly Father is more than capable of taking care of what we can't.

00:01:19.340 --> 00:01:28.108
Also, I want to thank the Valiant Forge for all your recent comments on the YouTube shorts I've been putting out and on the episodes.

00:01:28.108 --> 00:01:34.173
You are one of the most consistent people listening on YouTube and I appreciate that so much.

00:01:34.173 --> 00:01:37.748
Your continued support is encouraging for me.

00:01:37.748 --> 00:01:49.843
So thank you, and I want to thank my friends who have recently reached out to me just to encourage me in general and encourage me through my efforts with the podcast.

00:01:49.843 --> 00:01:53.893
I really do appreciate all the comments I get throughout the months.

00:01:53.893 --> 00:02:03.566
It helps me to grow as a person, it helps me to stay humble and it helps me to know what exactly it is that you want out of the content.

00:02:03.846 --> 00:02:08.322
And, yeah, I want to consider you all friends of mine.

00:02:08.322 --> 00:02:15.281
So if you ever need to talk, you can leave me a comment anywhere where you're listening.

00:02:15.281 --> 00:02:20.171
You can email me, anna Murby, at honestchristianconversationscom.

00:02:20.171 --> 00:02:25.868
You can go to the website, leave messages there as well, leave reviews.

00:02:25.868 --> 00:02:28.653
Those things help so much.

00:02:28.653 --> 00:02:37.584
They uplift, they encourage, they give constructive criticism as well, so that I can be the best version for you guys that I need to be.

00:02:37.584 --> 00:02:41.973
That's today's mini-mini-sode, our fan mail mini-sode.

00:02:41.973 --> 00:02:47.397
Have a wonderful rest of your weekend, your week, whenever you're listening.

00:02:47.397 --> 00:02:48.300
God bless.
