Experienced, compelling communicator with REAL stories.

Mick's first born, Luke, was a full-term still birth (39 weeks) and Luke's death brought Mick & his wife into relationship with God/Jesus
- Essentially no relationship with Jesus prior to Luke's death
- Certainly aware of God and had gone to church earlier in life, but wanted to do our own thing in life
- Luke's death brought us to a point where we cried out to God for help
- Thought we had a "Luke-shaped" hole in our hearts; God showed us it was a God-shaped hole... He filled that hole and loved us thru the grief of Luke's death and changed our lives & family tree since then
- Great ending, which your listeners will love: 18 months after Luke's birth/death our daughter was born (alive!) and 7 years after Luke's birth/death, God blessed us with identical twin boys born (alive!) in January, (Luke's death/delivery month)

Story 2: Mick Survives an Avalanche He Caused Himself with the Miracle of Steve Showing Up Out of Nowhere
- Climbing alone on a 14,000 foot peak in Colorado, Mick caused the avalanche that WOULD have killed him
- Not wearing a helmet Mick's injuries are severe and mostly confined to his head (ouch)
- Unbeknownst to Mick his scalp is split open to the bone/skull and he's losing significant blood
- ALONE Mick hikes the 3 miles back to his truck at the trailhead parking lot
- There's so much coagulated and frozen blood on Mick's jacket he can't get the zipper down
- Mick is so weak he can't get his jacket off or get into his truck
- 30 seconds before Mick got to the trailhead parking lot, Steve arrived
- Steve rushed Mick to the closest medical center, which was in Breckenridge, CO
- Mick would have been airlifted to Denver given his critical condition, but due to poor weather was transported via ambulance
- 6 days in hospital; 3 in intensive care
- Emergency brain surgery to relieve pressure on the brain as a result of skull being broken in 3 places
- Jaw broken on both sides
- Jaw wired shut for 17 days
- Total hearing loss in left ear that later returned to 70% hearing when Drs. said it was never going to happen
- Back to work & college within 3 weeks

“I Should Have Died That Day”: A Story of God's Mercy and Grace

*Trigger Warning * If you get queasy (like I do), my guest's near-death experience is discussed in depth here. Overcoming Pride is not easy to do, especially when you are a punk kid like Mick Wienholt was when he found himsel...
