I related so much to what you were saying. I don't run ahead, but once I feel I've heard from God, I just in the driver's seat and take off. It's like God is my go to for advice and once the "hour" is over, I go on without Him. It's a struggle! It's amazing how tragedy can be the very thing that helps us put the breaks on. I'm so sorry for what your family has gone through. I rejoice that in the midst of it, God was able to show up and you were able to let go of what you needed to. That's awesome and I'm thankful to God for working in your life in such a way. I appreciate this article and I feel like it is a message so many will be encouraged by. 🥰

Yes I do exactly what you said and it’s so hard to turn off the passionate side of me and I’m sure you can relate. I was just listening to a podcast not too long ago that was teaching about rest and how to do it properly. She had us sit for two minutes in silence, something I realized I can’t do. God is working on me. Running ahead of him does nobody any favors, certainly not God.
